An Olympic gold medalist goes viral for knitting dog sweaters in the stands
If winning gold for his country wasn’t enough, this British athlete has now been heralded as a hero after making another touching gesture while watching the 2021 Tokyo Olympics from the stands.
Tom Daley received a standing ovation from fans all over the world after he was captured on camera knitting in the stands, following his gold medal-winning performance in synchronized diving. The pictures of him working on his new pastime, however, went viral as soon as he announced what he was up to. Following a thorough investigation, it was discovered that the man had been making dog clothing.

Crocheting, according to Daley, is a brand-new interest of his, having only begun to practice it a year ago. That doesn’t detract from the fact that he’s an excellent knitter as well as an excellent diver! It goes without saying that this is a worthwhile endeavor. “Knitting and crocheting have been a huge assistance to me during these Olympics,” the gold medalist remarked.

Later, he confessed that he had been knitting these beautiful things for a certain somebody. According to him, “I made some doggy jumpers for my friends!” he posted on Instagram. Last time I was in the pool, “I was making another one lol.” Izzy the Frenchie, it turns out, is a famous client with extremely high expectations.
