Cutie 2-week-old elephant learns to blow bubbles in the water for the first time

Do you remember the first time you learnt how to use a straw to pump your milkshake? Or when you first started blowing bubbles in the bathtub? A baby elephant has the same sensation.

A lovely two-week-old baby elephant at Reid Park Zoo in Tucson, Arizona, is already at that stage, learning to use her trunk and blowing bubbles in the water.

At birth, newborn elephants have no idea what to do with their trunks other than swing them back and forth and occasionally step on them.

Many infant elephants suck their trunks like babies suck their thumbs, and it normally takes six to eight months for them to learn to eat and drink using their trunks. As a result, this infant girl must be quite intelligent.

The zoo’s film, which monitors an unnamed girl’s development at every stage on its website, shows her with Semba and a tank of water, performing a quick maneuver using her trunk to suck water and create bubbles, her ears flapping furiously as she played.
