Dog Gives ‘Hugs, High Fives and Cuddles’ During Children’s Hospital Visit
@brodiethatdood If you’ve been following us for a while, you know that I’ve been trying to bring Brodie to a Children’s hospital for over a year and a half now. We finally made it happen and it was the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever been a part of. A special thanks to Summerlin Children’s Hospital & the children’s families for letting us come by and spread smiles and allowing us to capture the moments to share with you all to spread even more smiles. Thank you to Kassi Hanson, for helping make this happen. And shoutout to cameraman Key for the great camerawork and child communication skills (I left the original audio in the background l to hear his playful banter). 🐻❤️ #doglove #therapydog #goldendoodle #childrenshospital #spreadlove #WorldPrincessWeek #AEJeansSoundOn ♬ Forever – Single Version – The Little Dippers
Brodie, a gorgeous Goldendoodle, paid a special visit to the courageous young patients in a Las Vegas children’s hospital earlier this month.
The day Brodie the dog and his human partner Cliff visited the Children’s Medical Center at Summerlin Hospital to spread smiles was documented in a TikTok video that captured some of the day’s highlights.
The Children’s Medical Center treats newborns, children, adolescents, and adolescents. It has 46 individual patient suites and a 12-room pediatric intensive care unit that, according to its website, is the only one of its kind inside the western beltway of Las Vegas.
It is a vast facility that offers a variety of treatments to a large number of children and adolescents, some of whom are afflicted with serious health conditions.

Cliff told Newsweek that he and Brodie have been eager to visit the hospital’s young patients for some time. Cliff stated, “I’ve been attempting to bring Brodie to a children’s hospital for the past year and a half.”
“Due to COVID regulations and other bureaucracy, we were prohibited from making any in-person visits. After repeatedly reaching out to followers for leads, Kassi Hanson assisted in streamlining the process and completing it.”
The resulting footage was then uploaded to TikTok, where Brodie has amassed 5 million followers. At the time of writing, 1.8 million people have viewed the video of their visit.
Brodie can be seen in the video cuddling up to some of the young patients, posing for selfies with the hospital’s devoted staff, and generally nosing around the facility.
However, it only gives half the tale of what transpired on the trip. “We allowed the children to give Brodie hugs, high fives, and cuddles at the hospital,” Cliff explained. Even Brodie was outfitted with a backpack and goggles for a tour of the facility.
Cliff stated that he and Brodie had devised a clever way to incorporate the children in the fun. “We explained to the children that Brodie has an unusual illness that causes him to grow larger as he is adored more,” he said. “When they petted him, we would stand him up to demonstrate how much they had just caused him to grow!”
Cliff hailed the visit as “the most rewarding thing I’ve ever been a part of” on social media and thanked the hospital and families of the children being treated for “allowing us to visit and spread smiles.”
