Dog Insists On Sleeping In The Most Dramatic Place Possible

“It seems like he died in a terrible accident every time.”

Ruben is his name.

Ruben is a 5-year-old terrier who really looks forward to his nap time.

Ruben’s person, David Harsanyi, told The Dodo, “His favorite things to do are sleep and bark at strangers, but mostly sleep.”

And it’s a good thing that Harsanyi knows Ruben so well, because if he didn’t, the dog could have given him a big scare.

Since Harsanyi usually works from home, the two of them spend a lot of time together.

“Ruben likes to sleep by my feet, or better yet, on them,” Harsanyi said.

Harsanyi getting up and moving around during Ruben’s nap makes Ruben decide he might as well get up and move around, too.

Harsanyi said, “When I go upstairs, he usually sets up camp on the landing so he can watch what’s going on in the rest of the house.”

Ruben often falls asleep right at the bottom of a flight of stairs. This means that when Harsanyi turns the corner to go back downstairs, he sees what looks, at first glance, like a scary scene.

Harsanyi recently wrote on Twitter, “My dog loves to sleep at the bottom of the stairs, but it always looks like he died in a terrible accident.”

Ruben loves to act out crime scenes, but when he’s not doing that, he’s perfectly happy sleeping on a big pink and soft dog bed.

But that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t care about sleep.
