Friendly Pup Wants To Hold Hands With Anyone Passing By His Kennel

It’s impossible to pass by Speck, the cute rescue pup in need of a home, without saying hello to him.

Speck, who was a resident of the Bullock County Humane Society, was noted for pressing his face against the cage’s gap and extending his paw to say hello!

A shelter official told The Dodo that “all he wants is someone to love him.”

“He will put out his little hand, and all he wants is for you to touch him and grasp his little hand. And he’s really upset when you leave to finish cleaning or whatever you’re doing.”

For over a year and a half, Speck waited patiently in his kennel for someone to notice him.

In spite of his difficult past, he seems to be quite trusting of humans and other animals. All he wants is some love.

It doesn’t matter if he’s surrounded by another dog or a cat; “he is simply so focused on receiving love from people that he doesn’t care about anything else,” Wilder added.

“All he wants is for you to caress him. Snuggle up to him, and he’ll rest on your lap. Scratch him on the tummy and he’ll roll over.

One day, Wilder was doing his usual hand-holding thing with Speck, and she decided to videotape it and post it to her FB page to draw some interest in the pup.

Almost half a million people have seen this video.

Within minutes, the world had taken notice of Speck. After noticing him, Allie’s Hope For Paws Dog Rescue stepped in to assist in his search for a new home.

On a 26-acre property with Mike and his family and two furry brothers, he’ll be running free! Wilder made a statement on social media.

“We are so excited. Not only did Speck get adopted due to this video of his cuteness but he also helped a few other fur babies get rescued and he got us some food donations!”

Speck has finally found his forever home, and he couldn’t be happier.

We hope this tale will inspire more people to open their hearts to the many dogs in need.
