As you’ve surely heard, Disney is gearing up to release a remake of The Lion King. To be more precise, on the 19th of July. What about a real-life Mufasa and Simba moment? As it turns out, the perfect shot was obtained by this wildlife photographer. It also recreates a famous scene from a Disney cartoon.
Parisian photographer Sabine Bernert managed to catch the charming moment while filming in Kenya’s Masai Mara national park.
The photographs depict a majestic lion patrolling his domain as one of his pups (probably the most playful one) sneaks from behind his father’s back and asks for a huge cuddle.
The photographer says she was photographing for a children’s book when she snapped the emotional moment. Aww, she managed to catch such a precious moment.
When the cubs appeared, the lion pretended he hadn’t noticed them until the very last moment. After that, they just started having fun. “The juxtaposition between the raw might of the adult lion and his gentleness, the massive size of his paw lovingly holding the little cub, is what I enjoy most about this scene,” Sabine said in an interview with the LADBible. Astonishingly, this enormous lion was playing so softly with the cubs. They appeared to be having a good time and seemed to be having a good time. It was a beautiful moment of elegance, bathed in the soft light of dawn.
The remake of the Lion King will premiere in less than a month. So, be on the lookout for more information!
