Orphaned polar bear loves to hug the arctic workers who saved her life

An orphaned animal’s life in the woods can be incredibly difficult, even if it is one of the world’s most feared predators. Her mother’s death left this infant polar bear in a precarious predicament!

Polar bear cubs are dependent on their moms for food and protection until they’re about 2.5-3 years old, so this orphaned baby seemed doomed. When she needed it most, she got it from a surprising source. Polar bear cubs at this age are still having a difficult time finding enough food to sustain themselves. I approached a group of Arctic gold mine workers, begged for food, and was given a warm welcome.

On the Russian Arctic Territory island of Bolsehvik, the bear was all by himself. On the island, she was drawn to the fragrance of meals being prepared by a working at a gold mine. Polar bears are prohibited from being fed, yet miners have disregarded the rules in order to save a starving bear.

For a long time, the polar bear stayed loyal to the folks who saved her. Her favorite pastime was snuggling up to them. Despite this, the gold miners had to depart the island once more when their contract expired. However, they were prepared to do whatever it took to save the unfortunate creature. Their hard work paid off in the end!

Andrey Gorban, director of Royev Ruchei Zoo, revealed that the workers could only contact him at the end of their work shift because they had no communication link at the base. A cub had remained alone on a remote island while its parents returned to the mainland; our only hope was that the men had left a large area of open trash, which would have provided the youngster with food for weeks.

After a few weeks, the polar bear was ultimately rescued and transferred to the Moscow Zoo, where she may be relocated to a permanent home. However, she will not be able to do this in the wild because she has had so much contact with people. If it weren’t for these workers, the bear would have been gone a long time ago. The wildlife officials actually commended the miners for defying the no-feeding restrictions.

As Andrey Gorban put it, “For better or for worse, they nourished the endangered animal and through that tamed her. Workers rescued the cub’s life, because it had no other option except to perish.
