Dog Walker Comes Across “Gentle” Pit Bull Tied To A Tree With A Note Attached

Eric Maus, a dog walker, was taking a stroll through the park with his clients when he came across a sad sight. There was a note attached to the Pit Bull that was tied to the tree.

“Take me home. I’m a great dog. I’m 7 years old. Don’t let my size scare you. I’m sweet.”

The gentle giant didn’t move an inch when Eric approached the two other dogs. She was very friendly and affectionate.

A dog walker asked for advice on his FB page after he noticed the dog was alone in the park. A few minutes later, people made suggestions of what to do.

So Eric gathered a few friends together and decided to ask for advice on FB. And within just a few minutes, responses started coming in! One Good Samaritan offered to meet them by the tree outside of the park, arranged for transportation out of the neighborhood so they could go straight to Sean Casey Animal Rescue. The animal shelter had kennels.

They walked out of the park together, but Mamas couldn’t walk at a normal pace. She was slow due to her size and the possibility of a bladder infections. She was taken in by the rescue and then taken to the hospital for medical care.

She needs to stay through the stray hold, but then she will be put up for adoption and get her forever home.

In the meantime, Mamas is surrounded by people who love and care for her, and she is happy to be out of the park. Eric knows that whoever adopts this sweet girl will be very lucky to have her.
