Sweet Dog Is So Excited That People Remembered Her Birthday

Athena is a nice dog who just turned 2 years old.

Even though Athena’s birthday could have gone by without much fuss, her family would never let that happen.

Instead, they gave their dog a special gift to make her special day one she would never forget.

Hayleigh Powell and her family made sure to show their dog Athena extra love and attention on her birthday, but they saved the best for last.

After all, a birthday wouldn’t be a birthday without a song and a piece of cake.

Powell told The Dodo, “I made sure she didn’t see the cake so it would be a complete surprise.”

When it was time for the big reveal, Athena was overjoyed:

Powell said, “It made me feel great to see her so happy.” “I’m sure she felt special,” I said.

Athena could definitely feel the love. She could also taste it.

Powell thinks of Athena and her dog siblings as family, not just as pets. So, it makes sense to throw a big party for their birthdays.

Powell said, “I want them to have the best lives they can have.”
