The magician gives a show for the shelter dogs – And their reactions are priceless

Magician John Stessel certainly has what it takes to surprise everyone with his magic. Still, recently he got the chance to perform for another type of audience – a group of funny adoptable shelter dogs.
And their response couldn’t be more perfect.

Working in collaboration with director Rob Bliss and TBS, Stessel visited the Town of Hempstead Pet House in New York.

There, he holds concerts for the pups looking to find someone who loves them – thus giving them the opportunity to show off their lovable personalities to potential adopters.

“I’ve always loved the idea of doing magic with dogs,” Stessel told The Dodo. “The performance for them is nothing short of amazing.”

Here’s a video of Stessel and his hairy audience in action:

“The response from the dogs has been amazing,” Stessel said. “They are so cute. It’s really special. ”

After the show, each dog was bathed with lots of food and affection. And with any luck, thanks to this additional attention, they’ll soon undertake their own act of disappearance – from the shelter of the shelter to the hearts of new families.

“They just want to be loved,” Stessel said. “Each of them will be perfect to find their own permanent home.”
