Woman Catches Antisocial Rooster Napping In The Oddest Places

He has always been eccentric.

Carlos is the biggest admirer of taking naps. The 3-year-old rooster can nap whenever and wherever he wants, so long as he can do it without drawing his mother’s attention. In fact, Carlos turned bedtime into a game akin to “Where’s Waldo? — sending his family members on a hunt to discover his newest location.

The antisocial rooster, according to his mother Susie Randash, would prefer take a nap in privacy than seek attention.

Randash stated to The Dodo that Carlos “loves to snooze.” And he enjoys taking naps wherever. He enjoys chasing flies, [and] occasionally it causes him to become lost while trying to locate them.

Even to Randash, some of Carlos’ napping locations are a mystery.

Carlos fell in love with our hay bales when I eventually put the chickens outside in a coop, according to Randash. He cherished hiding and taking a nap in between them.

Here’s where you can see Carlos taking a snooze in a hay bale:

The foolish rooster would keep Randash on her toes, as she should have anticipated. Carlos was sleeping in a corner when she found him, with his head bowed as if to beg, “Leave me alone.”

When he wanted to sleep, “he used to bury his head behind the pine shavings,” Randash recalled. He has a weird personality and frequently attempts to go back to sleep when I wake him.

Randash performs numerous “life checks” a day to make sure Carlos hasn’t gotten himself into trouble because he frequently disappears for naps.

Randash remarked, “I have found him caught in fences and hay bales. “Normally, it only takes a few minutes to locate him, but occasionally he wanders off and nods out. It may take up to 45 minutes during certain times.

Randash isn’t the only player in the game, either. Carlos is also helped to find by neighbors.

Randash stated, “[They’ve] taken him home before.” “This silly rooster needs a village to keep him safe! ”

Carlos, though, is unconcerned about anything. He is content to carry on playing his naptime games.

Randash stated, “This has just been our way of life and routine. He is secure, healthy, and acting exactly like a rooster should. He simply has a peculiar personality, which we have grown to love and accept. He is simply blatantly Carlos! ”
